Accentuate your sense of sight, smell, touch, sound and taste while indulging in Swasana Spice Pavilion’s offering of body massages, four unique types of body treatments, facials, spa packages and additional treatments in the form of manicures and pedicures.
The spa features ten lavishly-designed therapy rooms themed after a collection of spices such as Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Vanilla, Chili, Coriander, Peppercorn, Star Anise, Paprika and Saffron.
Careful attention to detail was key in the concept design. Every item was carefully chosen to represent the overall concept of the spa – emphasizing its theme of being a spice pavilion. The result is an idyllic haven which seamlessly incorporates modern and traditional elements.
Open from 10am to 10.00pm daily, the spa provides a selection of seven body massages in the form of Balinese, Thai and Malay traditional treatments. All massages are conceptualized to provide guests with the perfect indulgence, rejuvenation and pampering.
The Balinese Massage combines stretching, long strokes, skin rolling and palm and thumb pressure techniques with the use of essential oils to improve circulatory, lymphatic, muscular and the nervous systems.
The Thai Massage involves manipulation of the body using stretching methods to increase the body’s flexibility, relieves muscular and joint tensions, stimulates internal organs and balances the body and energy systems. Good for removing ‘wind’ from the body is the Malay Spice Massage that uses warm and spiced aromatherapy oil on the muscles.
Guests can also try the Deep Pressure Massage that uses ancient pressure point techniques, the Warm Stone Massage where warmed rocks are placed on the body’s various energy points, and the Stress Relief Massage that focuses on the neck, shoulder and back areas to relax muscles that are tense. There is also a 90-minute Swasana Massage that combines the best of Balinese, Thai and Malay massages.
For body treatments, try the Royal Javanese Lulur, a 50-minute treatment to soften, refine and rejuvenate the skin, or the Coffee Scrub, an aromatic treatment using finely grounded coffee and rice powder scented with pandan and kaffir lime to smoothen your skin.
For men, there is the exclusive Tongkat Ali Scrub that gives a deep exfoliation to the skin. Another unique offering is the Himalayan Salt Glow exfoliating treatment to remove dead skin cells, improve circulation, moisturize the skin and helps to eliminate toxins.
Guests can also choose from a selection of five unique facials, or indulge in any of the four special spa packages. Other services available include a Jacuzzi, steam bath and shower facilities.
